Tirupati Vaikunta Ekadasi Guidelines 2025 Released
On December 2, 2025, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) issued a detailed set of guidelines for devotees visiting Tirumala during the sacred Vaikunta Ekadasi period. With millions expected to participate in the festival, TTD announced enhanced queue systems, security measures, and darshan protocols to ensure a smooth and spiritually fulfilling experience for all pilgrims.
About Vaikunta Ekadasi at Tirumala
Vaikunta Ekadasi is one of the most significant festivals at the Tirumala Venkateswara Temple. Devotees believe that passing through the Vaikunta Dwaram grants liberation and divine blessings. Every year, pilgrims from across India arrive in large numbers to witness the rituals and special poojas. Read more updates from Tirumala by visiting latest temple updates.
Key Guidelines Issued by TTD
To manage the unprecedented crowd expected this year, TTD has implemented several essential measures:
• The Vaikunta Dwaram will remain open for 10 days starting from Vaikunta Ekadasi morning.
• Only pre-booked darshan ticket holders will be permitted inside the queue complexes.
• Senior citizens, differently-abled devotees, and infants will have dedicated entry points for safe access.
• Pilgrims are requested to avoid carrying large luggage or prohibited items to speed up security checks.
Crowd Management and Safety Measures
TTD, along with the Andhra Pradesh Police, has deployed additional security forces, surveillance cameras, and emergency response teams across Tirumala. Special shelters, water distribution points, medical camps, and resting facilities have been arranged for devotees waiting in queues.
Important Advisory for Devotees
The temple authorities have urged devotees to follow official instructions, reach the hill early, and stay hydrated due to the long walking distances involved. TTD has also advised visitors to rely solely on official announcements and avoid misinformation circulating on social media.
